** At the start of the game, you should choose 2 primary professions, mining and skinning.When you are out and about, you can easily skin the animals. ** Make sure you grab quests at every chance you get. You can easily gain additional XP, gold, items and factionswhile you are leveling or exploring. ** Don't spend any money buying items, equipment or other accessories early in the game. Low level characters from 1-40 are not gear dependent. By just completing the quests you will also get a nice load of items, so you dont really have to go out and buy them at this stage.
** While you are out leveling, there are certain monsters that have better drops than others; example is the hummanoids. They tend to drop more gold and items tahn any other creatures in Azeroth. So look out for them.
** One of the best fishing poles in WoW is the Big Iron Fishing Pole. Anyone who wants to max out their fishing ability is going to need it at one point. Inside the cage traps on the ocean floor near the Horde town on the West coast of Desolace, you go into the water directly and look for traps on the ocean ground, open them up and you will find either shellfish, spawn a mob or get this rare fishing pole. You can sell on AH for over 25 gold!
