When you are starting out in WoW, the first thing you want to do to start making money is to loot EVERYTHING off of mobs you killed. Most of the loots can be sold.
Loot names have different colours. The colours tell you how rare it is:
** Gray - completely useless, sell to a vendor.
** White - someone, somewhere can use it; store it until you collect a stack then sell it on Auction House.
** Green - Someone probably wants it; sell it on Auction House.
** Blue - Rare item, someone wants it, sell it on Auction House.
** Purple - Very rare item, someone is probably looking for this item very hard; sell it on Auction House.
(II) The Second Thing
is to buy the largest bags you can afford. The bigger the bag, the more loot you can carry, the more money you can make.
Organise your bags:
- One bag for food and drink, bandages, potion/pots, skinning knife/mining pick. - Another bag for your mining/herbalism mats. - Another bag for your skinning mats. - The last is the backpack to keep loots you pick up, as it is the only bag that opens when you click on a vendor.
(III) The Third Thing
is to pick up two gathering professions from mining, herbalism or skinning. The best combination is skinning with either mining or herbalism.Once you get your two gathering professions you start levelling. When you max out the skll come back to train. If you choose mining , you canlevel your mining skill by smelting the ores you mine.
It is important what you do starting out in WoW so that you can start making money.
