The Races are Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Orcs, Tauren, trolls and Undead. WoW consists of 2 feuding realms, the Alliance and the Horde. Each realm (warring faction) may choose from 4 different races.

** Alliance members may choose from Human, Dwarf, Night Elf and Gnomes while **Horde members may choose from Orc, Tauren, Troll and Undead.

Along with the 8 Races the payers can choose from 9 Classes and they are Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.

Each player also has the ability to choose a Profession for their character. A Profession is helpful as it may help the player to create great armors, weapons, items and other equipments. The Primary Professions are Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Herbalism, Jewelcrafting, Leather Working, Mining, Tailoring and Skinning. The Secondary Professions are Cooking, First Aid and Fishing.
